It was originally self-released by Barlow on cassette inunder the Sentridoh Broken - Sebadoh - The Freed Weed , the solo home-recording project of American rock musician and Sebadoh member Lou Barlowand sold at record stores in his native Massachusetts in an approximate run of Init was officially released by Homestead on vinyl and cassette under the name of Barlow's newly formed band Sebadoh.
